“Queer-Friendly” Libraries Refuse To Let Kirk Cameron Visit And Read His New Faith-Based Book

We are called hateful bigots because we think drag queen story hours at libraries are inappropriate for kids.  But when a Christian, Conservative writes a book promoting biblical wisdom and the fruits of the spirit, he is not welcome and we have to just accept that.  The hypocrisy among the left is infuriating.

Kirk Cameron recently wrote a children’s book called, “As You Grow.”  In an interview with Tucker last week Cameron stated the book teaches “biblical wisdom through the seasons of life to children and the value of growing the fruit of the spirit, like love, joy, kindness, patience, gentleness, self-control.”  It sounds like a very lovely book, and a great tool for Christian parents. 

Cameron stated that more than 50 libraries have rejected his offer to visit the library and have a story time with his new book.  But you know they’re all about bringing in those drag queens.  One of the libraries actually told him that they are a “very queer-friendly library; our messaging does not align.”  That’s not problematic at all.

He is now encouraging parents and other Christians to speak out.  He stated, “We go home with our tail between our legs, crying in our Chick-fil-A soup, waiting for the rapture, rather than getting on the offense and saying, ‘Let’s invest in our children and teach them the values we want them to learn.’”  He’s not wrong.  We can’t be complacent, and we can’t just accept the losses we are handed.  We need to speak up and fight back.

Since speaking out about this, several parents and libraries have actually reached out to him and his publisher to set up appearances for him.  This is the perfect example of why we need to fight back.  Get loud and stand up for your kids.
