December 12, 2022If you don’t watch Yellowstone, you’ll hate this post, so you probably want to move on. But this is half my site, and I needed to write about last night’s episode. I just NEEDED to, so I’m gonna.

Was it just me, or was last night’s show really good? Maybe it’s because the first couple of episodes this season had me saying, “meh.” I’m not gonna lie. Compared to other seasons, I’ve not been super impressed with the writing and story lines thus far. But last night? I found myself getting re-energized, back-talking the TV and clutching my heart and OMG, y’all – when that sweet ol’ cowboy died? I cried right alongside that precious little wife of his.

And then there’s the whole John Dutton bringing that environmentalist into his house. WHAT ARE YOU DOING, dude? Just marry the damn Senator already, John. Good LORD, even the smartest of men just don’t GET IT. Look at how they are looking at one another:
Speaking of men who don’t get it, there’s the whole plot line with Jamie, who I want to punch directly in the face – and I know I could win that fight easily, because that dude is a Grade A WIMP:
The only thing that makes the whole “we may need to end your Dad (WTF???)” thing is last night’s unbelievable scenery and the branding scenes that were downright spectacular in every way. I’m a Texas girl who loves all the ranch stuff, so I was geeking out and hoping those scenes would NEVER end.
Absolutely stunning.

Now, I don’t want to hear about how Taylor Sheridan is some commie and Kevin Costner hates Trump and loves Liz Cheney. I. Don’t. CARE. Pretty much everything on television is crap these days, so I love this show for what it is. I love that it shows some Actual Ranching stuff (even though some of my ranching friends say that “it’s like The Sopranos goes Southwestern” ha ha ha). I love the characters and the political incorrectness and at least for now – I love how it’s not “woke.” So there’s that. Just let me have ONE FREAKING SHOW, people.
At least for NOW. Let me enjoy it for a little while longer until it’s ruined by something, OK?

Couldn’t agree more last night was best episode of the season so far, I didn’t cry but that might be the man in me, but I do get it because that is the way I want to go just lay down one night and drift off to meet our maker.
