She’s not a Biologist you guys, so just cut her some slack, ok? In a recent TikTok Gretchen couldn’t be bothered to say the word woman. It’s just too hard. So instead, she called women, “people with a period.”

Democrats are constantly trying to skirt around the definition of a woman. You know, so they don’t offend the men that call themselves women. Here’s the problem with Gretchen’s little stunt. Calling a woman a “person with a period” actually excludes way more people than she probably intended. Democrats try to be so “inclusive,” but they end up digging themselves further into a hole the more they try. Trans women, also known as men, can’t have periods. So good job, Gretchen. You actually excluded the entire group that you were trying not to offend by not saying the word woman.
But also, what about actual women that can’t have periods? Are they not women? You know what would make everything a lot easier and a lot less stupid? Calling women just that, women.

From the looks of things, this “person who has periods” has been reelected as governor here in Michigan. I’m so pissed!
Liberals who demand the change in vocabulary legitimately hate women. (And to think liberals are the ones who say conservatives “vote against their own interests!”)
Are there biological women who do not menstruate? Whether because they are not of menstruating age or a condition that prevents it, sure. So not every woman has periods. So when men demand to also be included with “inclusive” language, they are excluding women. That’s why “inclusive language” has been fought against so hard. Not every woman menstruates but everyone who does menstruate is a woman. Talking about period products doesn’t somehow take away from women who don’t get periods.
Trans activists demand special recognition, which is the opposite of “we just want to live our lives”. They are are so dead set on being a woman when they were born a man, wouldn’t they be fine with simply being called a woman? Why is the ‘trans’ modifier needed? Because it’s not about “living their lives,” it’s about elevating themselves above everyone else.
As a man, I believe what she did is stupid, and my eyes can’t stop rolling.
But if I were a woman, I would be offended by being reduced and minimized in such a way. Isn’t this a blatant example of misogyny?
Yes, the Dems will likely get their backsides handed to them tonight, largely because of the economy and crime. But all this cultural nonsense — “people with a period,” Drag Queen Story Hour — is percolating under the surface, and most of us have had enough.
We’re angry, and we’re voting.
Yes! It is so disrespectful to women!
I hope everyone is just as angry and voting with us!
I was thinking the same thing. How disgusting it is to reduce all of womanhood (which includes some amazingly miraculous and wonderful stuff) down to simply the ability to menstruate (which, from what my wife tells me, is one of the worst aspects of being a woman). And yet, Whitmer will be praised for being brave enough to speak this “truth”.
So according to Herman Munster in a bad wig, if you are post-menopausal you are no longer a woman? Such an inclusive uniter.
I may not know much about women, but I know what I like, and it is not a dude in a dress.
Maybe tomorrow we can start slaying the spirit of stupid that seems to be possessing our country.
Right!? Like once you hit menopause your no longer allowed to be a woman? These people are so ridiculous. Yet people still agree with and vote for them! Dear God I hope we to take back our country today, because I can’t handle this insanity any longer.
I suggest listening to what she said as she was specifying taxes on menstrual products before she said “people with periods.” Her specific wording makes sense in that context. The groups that are excluded should be excluded.
Ok, I get that. But at the same time, “people” do not have periods. Women have periods. It’s still the way she said it that is completely ridiculous and pandering. They are constantly trying to diminish women, which is crazy coming from the party of the extreme feminists.
Women are people, teenage girls are also people but also not quite women. Post menopausal women do not have periods as you point out. So women as a whole do not have periods and also not all people who have periods are women even ignoring the idiotic categorization of “gender”.
The war is worth waging, but this is not a battle worth fighting as the vagueness of her statement still works.
Trust me there is likely few and far between who hate the utter destruction of our language that “gender” is causing but the more I dig the more general ideas I find that are just blatantly bassackwarks eliminating discourse even though they are blatantly wrong.
