Ah yes, our schools. They’re failing miserably in every way and trailing academically behind every other country in the world, but listen – at least they’re telling Latino kids that they’re not drug dealers.
Sigh.
This comes from a yet-unknown school, and it’s a sign hanging on the wall for all students (except white and Asian, mind you) to let them know that they, um, matter.

My daughter goes to school with A LOT of Hispanic and black kids – we live in Texas – and if I saw this sign hanging up in her school, I’d be raising some hell with the administration. Because holy inappropriate.
Also – I’m used to white kids (and people in general) being demonized these days, but why aren’t they talking about Asian kids, huh?
Noticed that too. It would be, Dear Asian students, stop trying so hard to excel because you’re making everyone else look and feel bad, and undermining our lie that all minorities are victims.

Checkmate Kristina.
Perhaps if our public schools would look at our children as CHILDREN and not as colors, they’d be excelling as a collective body instead of being segmented and compartmentalized into groups of FREAKING SKIN COLORS and ethnicities. How is that helpful, exactly, in the melting pot that is America?
They’re all American kids, after all. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS OMG.
I guess that’d be too much to ask of our blatantly race-obsessed American public school system.
