Exactly one year ago, the Biden administration was feeling super proud of themselves. So proud, in fact, that they posted a punny announcement to the country that, thanks to them, you would be saving $0.16 on your 4th of July BBQ that year. A whole 16 cents, people! Of course, they were mocked mercilessly for making such a huge deal out of something so minuscule, especially as the country was suffering on numerous other fronts. They were obviously trying to drum up a “win” amid a disastrous presidency. But the absurdity of their exaggerated celebration over $0.16 is even more poignant considering our current economic situation.
Thanks to the Biden administration’s irresponsible and agenda-driven America-last policies that have created a supply chain/transportation crisis, product shortages, and historically high inflation, Americans will be paying $10 more for this year’s 4th of July BBQ.
How it started vs how it’s going.

Good thing you saved $0.16 last year. You can use it to buy exactly half a cup of gas to get to your BBQ, which will cost you an extra $10.#BidensAmerica #Bidenflation #July4th #bbq #gascrisis pic.twitter.com/qlENqxAcPo
Good thing you saved that 16 cents last year, because it can now be used to buy exactly half a cup of gas to get you to your more expensive BBQ. I did the math for you. Assuming an average gas price of $4.86/gallon, 16 cents will buy you 25 teaspoons, or .52 cups, of Biden’s historically expensive gas. I’m guessing the White House isn’t going to post anything punny about the price of goods this year.
