Orwell Called It, And If You Think This Is Completely Fine, You’re Outa Your Mind

WTF is even happening right now.

You guys, DHS – under the “leadership” of Mayorkas, who is the ultimate deer in the headlights, is setting up a Disinformation Governance Board.  I’m not making this up. It’s a real thing.  And if you think that that sounds an awful lot like a….oh I don’t know…MINISTRY OF TRUTH, then congratulations.  You don’t have your head in the sand, and you aren’t a lunatic leftist.

The bad news, of course, is that even while we all congratulate each other on being able to see the obvious, THIS IS ALL STILL ACTUALLY HAPPENING.  Sec’y Mayorkas says that the purpose of the board is to “tackle disinformation ahead of the November midterms, particularly in Hispanic communities.”  And it gets even worse.  The leader of this new Disinformation Governance Board is Winston Smith Nina Jankowicz, who is herself guilty of some of the most egregious spreading of disinformation ever.

Nina also was very vocal about trying to convince everyone that the Hunter Biden laptop was just part of a Russian disinformation campaign.  According to the Washington Examiner:

“Jankowicz also cast doubt on the Hunter Biden laptop story while falsely claiming an intelligence community report on foreign meddling referenced it. In particular, she played a key role in trying to shoot down reports by the New York Post about the contents of the laptop believed to have belonged to the younger Biden.”

Jankowicz shared a report Oct. 22, 2020, she said was “casting yet more doubt on the provenance of the New York Post‘s Hunter Biden story.” And she tweeted that day, “The emails don’t need to be altered to be part of an influence campaign. Voters deserve that context, not a [fairy] tale about a laptop repair shop.”

She tweeted during that night’s presidential debate, “Back on the ‘laptop from hell,’ apparently — Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op. Trump says ‘Russia, Russia, Russia.’” She tweeted Wednesday, “For those who believe this tweet is a key to all my views, it is simply a direct quote from both candidates during the final presidential debate.”

And that wasn’t all:

Jankowicz tweeted Oct. 24, 2020, about “the nuance of the alleged Biden laptop kerfuffle.”

She later tweeted March 16, 2021, that the intelligence community “has a high degree of confidence that the Kremlin used proxies to push influence narratives, including misleading or unsubstantiated claims about President Biden.” She claimed this was “a clear nod to the alleged Hunter laptop.”

This is who is going to be in charge of the Disinformation Governance Board, y’all.  Which makes sense, really, considering that Joe Biden is currently leading the Ministry of Plenty.  This entire administration is legit running the country as if they’ve never read 1984, OR they’ve read it and don’t understand that it’s supposed to be a cautionary tale and not a blueprint.

But before you get too depressed, here’s a day brightener for you.  Our new Disinformation Governance Board overlord can sing.  So there’s that.
