Sarah Huckabee Sanders Addresses President Trump’s Controversial NFL Remarks

It’s the first White House press briefing since President Trump’s controversial remarks on the NFL. Of course, reporters asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders about Trump’s stance. Does he regret calling kneeling players SOB’s who should be fired?

Sanders’ answer was flawless. She said this isn’t about any particular player. This is about Trump and millions of Americans standing for something. We’re for honoring our country and those who defend it.

When asked specifically if Trump “went too far,” Sanders said, “It’s always appropriate for the president to defend our flag.”

I hate how that reporter phrased that question. This isn’t about a player’s First Amendment rights, moron. They are EMPLOYEES.

CNN’s Jim Acosta accused Trump of going after black athletes and basically suggested that Trump was pandering to his super intolerant white base by praising NASCAR owners who refuse to tolerate the disrespect.

Funny, isn’t it? When athletes take a knee, they are inspiring others. When Trump voices his opinion– which lines up with the opinion of MILLIONS of American football fans– it’s not inspirational. It’s divisive, mean and scary. He’s starting a “culture war”!

Sarah’s right. Trump’s not talking about race. He’s talking about pride and respect for our country. I can’t believe Acosta doesn’t get that. What a divisive fool.
