President Trump’s Chief of Staff John Kelly has been in the news, and not for a particularly good reason. Everyone’s been obsessing over a photo of him totally facepalming during Trump’s UN speech:

He’s the latest meme sensation.

What’s the deal with Kelly? I didn’t think any part of Trump’s speech was inappropriate or embarrassing. He spoke from a position of strength. I loved that.

Well, here’s a little rumor that might help explain some things. According to political consultant Ed Rollins, Kelly didn’t even vote for Trump. He voted for Hillary Clinton. In other words, he probably doesn’t agree with Trump on much, policy-wise.

“At least what I’ve heard from sources inside who know Kelly, he is an honorable man and a good general,” Rollins said. “He didn’t vote for him. He voted for Hillary. So I don’t think basically he is a Trump supporter or ideologically a Trump supporter.”

Hmmm… ideological opposites? Perhaps.

I should add– White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders warned against reading into the photo too much.

“I would certainly not read anything into that picture,” she told Brian Kilmeade. “Probably, just like the rest of us, we’re tired trying to keep up with this president who’s working hard every day to help America.”

By tired, I think she means physically tired– like in dire need of a 3-hour nap tired.

What do you think? Was this just an inconveniently timed photo, or does it reflect Kelly’s true feelings?
