Brutal Carjacking And Murder Caught On Video, CNN Carefully Calls It “Accident” That “Fatally Injured” Man

A graphic video of the tragic murder of a DC Uber Eats driver has been circulating on social media. Warning, the video is graphic and you can see the man dying on the pavement while not a single bystander even checks on him.

The driver is standing half in and half out of the driver’s side door while two young black individuals are in the car threatening him. The video shows a struggle and voices can be heard shouting and screaming. Suddenly, the car speeds away with the vehicle’s owner (the victim) still hanging half out of the car, which means that one of the other individuals in the car is now controlling the gas pedal and steering wheel. The car can be seen smashing into other cars and driving erratically, then you can hear the crash. The individual filming the crime then runs after the car and arrives to see the teenage carjacking murderers climbing out of the car while National Guardsmen from the area help them out of the car. The victim can then be seen laying on the sidewalk, motionless, mangled, and bloody. Not a single person runs to his aid or checks on him at all during the video, but the girls can be heard freaking out about losing a phone in the car they had just stolen and wrecked.

The bottom line is, these two teenage girls violently carjacked and murdered this man, and the whole thing can be watched on video.

Then, I was scrolling social media and saw this incredible CNN caption:

“Police said the girls, 13 and 15, assaulted an Uber Eats driver with a Taser while carjacking him, which led to an accident in which he was fatally injured.”

And I noticed something right away. “Accident.”

You see, CNN published this article titled, “Teen girls charge with murder, carjacking of Uber Eats driver in Washington, DC.” And in this article, CNN briefly described the teenage girls who carjacked and murdered Uber Eats driver, Mohammad Anwar, then described the GoFundMe set up by the family of the murder victim.

Perhaps the crux of the brief article was the sentence used for the caption, “Police said the girls, 13 and 15, assaulted an Uber Eats driver with a Taser while carjacking him, which led to an accident in which he was fatally injured.” This was what they chose to publicize. This was how they chose to paraphrase the story in a caption.

Notice that one particular word.

Accident.

CNN framed their entire narrative about this crime as simply a tragic accident that ultimately resulted in the death of the man following an assault committed by two teenage girls.

“Fatally injured” is a really weird way to say violently assaulted and brutally murdered…

There are at least two major problems with this CNN post that I can see.

Firstly, this was much more than a tragic accident following an assault. This was a violent carjacking and coldblooded and brutal murder by two criminals who were intent on causing this man financial and bodily harm (stealing and bringing a taser to make it happen). Why phrase it like that and pretend that it was just an accident?

Secondly, the mainstream media is fixated on race. The race of the victim. The race of the perpetrator. It’s really all that matters these days. If the victims are minorities, it was a white supremacist hate crime. If the perpetrators were minorities, then it was a result of systemic racism that is pitting minorities against each other. Either way, it’s always about race.

And Mohammad Anwar was a Pakistani immigrant. A south asian minority victim. You would think that race would be front and center in this case, right? Especially considering the media’s recent focus on “anti-asian hate crimes.” (Even though they’ve been totally OK with anti-asian discrimination in education and other areas of society.) Wouldn’t you think the media would frame it as the violent carjacking murder of a minority immigrant and probably throw in some discussion of hate crimes?

But the media couldn’t frame this as a violent murder or spin a racism narrative because the teenage murderers don’t fit their favorite and most influential narrative.

You see, the two murderers are black.

So instead of reporting on the violent and cold-blooded murder of an asian man by two criminals who intended harm, CNN reported a tragic fatal accident following an assault by two teenage girls.

And the very obvious reporting manipulation intended to protect the Left’s favorite race-related narrative is not lost on a public who is becoming more aware of the mainstream media’s manipulation of stories to fit certain narratives.

The passive tone here is really quite something. @CNN acts like it went “he was carjacked…some stuff happened in between…he was injured and died.”

In reality, he was carjacked and then the perpetrators proceeded to murder him.

It’s always interesting how CNN and other news organizations are highly selective when determining whether or not it’s worth mentioning the demographics of those involved in incidents such as this.
