Tucker Carlson is a flawless troll. During his show Monday night, he did a quick recap on the eclipse hype and noted that– at one point– President Trump looked directly at the sun. (It was only brief. A lot of people were upset by our lighthearted post about it, because MSM is trying to make him look dumb for not using protective eyewear. Yes– he did wear glasses at one point. But Trump’s also like the rest of us and briefly stared at the sun with his naked eye, because it’s irresistible. It was relatable and funny. Let it be known, we weren’t taking a cheap shot at the President.)
Cue Tucker Carlson. He made a joke about it on air, calling Trump’s ability to look directly at the sun “perhaps the most impressive thing any president has ever done.”

It’s a joke people! I thought that was obvious.
Nope. It’s not. MSM fell for it hard. The Daily Beast has a brief article up about Carlson’s remarks and even admits that Carlson made the comment in jest, but some Trump-haters still fell for it.

BTW, I think the dead giveaway that this was a joke was Tucker deadpanning that it wasn’t "completely surprising” for Trump.

But as the post notes: Tucker is a pretty notorious Trump sycophant. I guess we've gotten to a point where parody can run close to reality.

That can’t be a real quote. And yet, I know it is.

As my grandfather would say – this man doesn't know when to come in out of the rain. Seriously. Tucker Carlson is as dumb as his buddy.

No, looking directly at the sun is not impressive. It's stupid. https://t.co/S66kw5w9ve

If it helps, CNN’s Brian Stelter got the joke. That’s something.
Top-notch trolling by @TuckerCarlson. I'm afraid some folks fell for it… https://t.co/jnQjArEdjI
