Happy Friday!
We haven’t talked about Joe Gaffe much this week, have we? That’s because he has, wisely, mostly stayed out of public view.
That’s a good idea for him, because, when he does speak…this happens.
Conservatives knew exactly what they were getting when they voted for Trump, rough edges and all. I don't think Democrats expected to get . . . whatever this is . . . from Biden. There is no longer any good excuse for letting this go on. https://t.co/7yvJ4U1FUY

Joe said, “We’re in the middle of a pandemic that has cost us more 85,000 jobs as of today”. In his next breath he talked about “lives of millions of people, millions of people, millions of jobs.”
WTH Joe? Where did you come up with the 85,000 number?
And what exactly is the point of lamenting unemployment? Democrats want to keep the economy shut indefinitely, because, as you know, they are now the party of life. Not really. It’s more like they are the party of, “let’s destroy the economy so Trump loses.”
Fox News reported on the mistake:
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Thursday fumbled his figures concerning lost jobs and lost lives tied to the coronavirus pandemic — stating at one point that only 85,000 Americans were out of work.
“We’re in the middle of a pandemic that has cost us more than 85,000 jobs as of today,” he said at a COVID-19 roundtable, before following up. “Lives of millions of people, millions of people, millions of jobs.”
Biden appeared to switch up the two staggering figures, as nearly 86,000 have died in the U.S. due to the coronavirus, while millions — approximately 36 million — have lost their jobs since the outbreak of the virus. Shortly after giving the drastically undercounted unemployment number, Biden seemed to correct himself and refer to the millions of jobless claims that have been filed since March.
It’s the latest in a series of bumbles by the former vice president, who has admitted to being a “gaffe machine.” Such errors have made easy fodder for Republicans eager to cast Biden as faltering on the virtual campaign trail.
“Seriously?” tweeted Republican National Committee national spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington.
Biden also went on MSNBC’s The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell.
O’Donnell and Biden discussed the Tara Reade allegations and whether or not he even recalled knowing Reade.

Biden, when asked if he remembered Tara Reade, replied, “To be honest with you, I don’t.”
Well, trust us Joe, we believe you. You don’t remember what you ate for breakfast.
Biden was also asked about who a person should vote for if they believe Tara Reade’s accusations. O’Donnell asked this on the heels of noting that some have said they believe Reade but are still voting for Joe.
Biden said: ‘Well, I think they should vote their heart and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me. I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.”
Good answer Joe. Hopefully women listen to Joe.
