After the hysteria of the coronavirus hit its peak this week, the Trump administration has declared the National State of Emergency.
In the best crisis move that I have seen in my lifetime, the Trump administration has joined forces with the business sector to help speed up the ability to test, treat, and aide suspected coronavirus victims.
Businesses such as Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens are aiding the President by allowing their parking lots to be used as drive-thru testing sites.
LabCorp and Quest diagnostic is now working with the government to deliver and pick up testing from the doctor’s office. The new timeline from the test to the results will soon be around 24 hours.
The government has created a website, facilitated by Google, to help monitor your symptoms and let you know if you require further testing.
The President is also suspending interest for student loans to help with students that are no longer allowed to receive the education they are being charged for.
With the state of emergency declared, the leader of CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) stated in the press conference that this would release regulations that will help our elderly and most vulnerable in our society.
As the Asian countries start to come on the other side of the curve for coronavirus, the travel bans will be lifted. Trump also stated that with the increase in cases in the UK overnight, the government would be looking into adding the UK onto the European travel ban.
The national emergency has no deadline, but Trump has made it clear throughout the press conference that he does not expect it to be in place for long. Trump was clear to say the national emergency will stay in place as long as the American people need the extra boost from the government.
The markets jumped 800+ points since the conference started.
It is important to remember that in America, we only have 40 deaths from coronavirus, and we have approximately 350 million people live in America.
Dr. Fauci reminded everyone that it is simple to stay home if you are sick, don’t travel by public transport if you can, and wash your hands as much as you can.
Also, they joked about how toilet paper is not going to save you from coronavirus, which made my life completely!
The left did not waste time asking Trump if he should self-quarantine or if Trump was worried, he took a picture with someone that tested positive for coronavirus. The President stated emphatically that he had zero symptoms, and the multiple White House doctors have advised him he is not at risk at this time. It was clearly another attempt at a gotcha moment that the left just couldn’t pass up.
