Oh, for the love of Pete.
It doesn’t even take a conscious thought to get my eyes rolling about this man.
I see his name or his face and next thing I know, I’m in another dimension.
According to Breitbart:
Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s housing plan promises to help city councils replace suburban houses with apartment buildings — but his immigration plan would fill up those extra suburban apartments with more economic migrants.
I don’t think Pete is super receptive of the fact that, with an immense increase of housing developments being built, and illegal aliens occupying them, this would actually cause more of a strain on taxpayers and available American income.
According to Breitbart:
Under current rules, the federal government annually imports roughly one million migrants and also keeps an army of at least two million temporary workers in the United States. The inflow has spiked housing prices nationwide.
Let California be the prime example as to why these are awful ideas in practice. I don’t care how big your heart is if your theory is garbage when exercised.

Quoted directly from his plan:
Housing supply, especially in high-cost cities, is often decreased by burdensome regulations rooted in historically racist single-family zoning policy. Pete will press cities to facilitate inclusive, community-oriented processes to set affordable housing strategies, including reviewing zoning and other locally-determined rules that may constrain new development. In municipalities with the highest rent burdens and most restrictive Pete will implement progressive restrictions of federal funding.
In Pete’s plan, if you take the time to read it, you’ll find that he mentions the homeless crisis (obviously) and how he will fight with cities and states to preserve affordable housing.
It’s really just a list of what he wants to do and why he wants to do it, but there’s not a whole lot of HOW he’s going to be able to do it effectively without ridiculously adverse consequences…
He definitely know he wants to throw a crap ton of money at all the programs he’s mentioning.
I don’t think he quite grasps the root of the issue.
More from Breitbart:
The Buttigieg plan also calls for a revival of the disastrous pro-housing policies pushed by Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
Their policies got more immigrants and poor Americans into houses — but it crashed the economy once the poor people could not pay their mortgages.
Oh, these policies were an epic failure? Perfect, gimme.
WUT.
Here’s a thought, as uneducated as it might be – go to the third world countries you so badly want to help and build housing developments there.
Maybe go and be a president in one of those countries and help them revitalize their own land.
