Well, Cynthia, if I worked hard to make a pie, with ingredients that I paid for and time that I spent making it, in my own damn kitchen that I, again, also pay for, then I can in fact have the whole pie.
All I can think about are those ridiculous group projects we were all forced to do in high school, where one person does all the work and the rest of the group piggybacks and receives the same grade.
I’m not going to waltz into someone else’s home and demand the pie created from their hard-earned time and money. The WHOLE pie, at that.
Also, cut this ‘we’ business.
If you want to suggest it’s ‘we’ then you better get baking because the cute-sy metaphors don’t soften the blow of pure BS.
Cynthia Nixon speaking at a Bernie rally:
"We have made do with crumbs for so long and Bernie has said, 'Hey, we're starving in this country. We can't subsist on these crumbs anymore. Why can't we demand the whole pie?'"pic.twitter.com/60Ea694OHI
