US Being Scolded By China For Essentially Overreacting About The Spread Of The Coronavirus

Perhaps the United States, after witnessing the outbreak and proceeding death toll in China, was justified in informing the people of the nation. Not like it’s a deadly virus or anything.

According to Breitbart:

China accused the United States on Monday of spreading “panic” in its response to the deadly coronavirus, lamenting it has taken actions that “create and spread fear” instead of offering significant assistance.

Every year, we actively remind people how to prevent the flu, what the symptoms look like, how to treat it, etc. and those reminders are then followed by numbers showing how many have been infected or have died from the virus.

I feel as though publicizing awareness is just as effective as offering assistance through the effort to be informative. We literally have hospitals, urgent cares, and doctor’s facilities all over the place to get treatment.

The Chinese foreign ministry made the accusations during a regular briefing session that confirmed the Chinese death toll has risen to 362 while total infections reached over 17,000 globally, surpassing the SARS epidemic of two decades ago.

Weird… and you’re sure we’re just ‘creating and spreading fear?’

The United States was the first to decide a ban on Chinese travelers, which was apparently interpreted as the US not being ‘supportive enough.’

Breitbart:

“All it has done could only create and spread fear, which is a bad example,” Hua told the online news briefing, adding China wanted judgements and responses that were reasonable, calm and based on science.

I feel as though the root is derived from poor health standards, in comparison to the United States where the virus is not spreading nearly as quickly (at least so far).

If anything, the travel bans have reduced my fear towards the virus…including our health standards. But I digress.
