As soon as that plane crashed my husband looked at me and asked,
“Do you think Iran shot that down?”
My response: “It wouldn’t shock me if they did.”
Now, look at the headline breaking today.
Iran mistakenly shot down Ukrainian passenger plane that crashed on Wednesday near Tehran, US media report https://t.co/JMUJhBWG6V

According to Fox News, this morning: Pentagon Officials say Iran shot down Ukrainian Airliner BY MISTAKE using RUSSIAN-MADE surface-to-air Missile.
The BBC: Iran mistakenly shot down the Ukrainian plane that crashed on Wednesday near Tehran with 176 people on board, US media report.
CNN: U.S. believes Iran accidentally shot down Ukraine Plane
Statement from Trump: “It was flying in a pretty rough neighborhood. They could’ve made a mistake. Some people say it was mechanical. I personally don’t think that’s even a question.”
Statement from Downing Street: “I’m not going to speculate on this but the reports we have seen are very concerning and we are urgently looking into them.”
Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s Security Council, told Ukrainian media: “A strike by a missile, possibly a Tor missile system, is among the main (theories), as information has surfaced on the internet about elements of a missile being found near the site of the crash.”
This plane crash killed all 167 passengers and all nine crew members. These passengers were from a number of different countries including 82 Iranians, at least 63 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians.
So what does this mean for all the Democrats mourning Soleimani’s death? Does this mean that Iran is actually bad and that Trump was right in his decision?
How are they going to spin this?
First of all, we know that Iran is being outfitted by Russia paid for by American money. Anybody that thought this de-escalation was set in stone, it’s not.
Iran accidentally shot down a plane (that I believe they thought was American) during a night where they were attacking Iraqi bases as a response to Trump.
No American lives lost, and it is not our responsibility to respond to Iran’s terror. We will see how the rest of these countries handle what happened.
I doubt they do anything. Iran doesn’t care about its passengers lost, Canada is weak and spinless, and Ukraine is currently fighting Russia.
