Holy crap.
So by now, you’ve probably seen/heard about the video of the Pope slapping the hand of a woman who grabbed his arm.
I’m not gonna lie – I’m not a fan of this Pope. A lot of Catholic friends of mine are also not fans of this Pope. But when I watched that video, I actually didn’t think he did anything terribly wrong – that woman was super grabby grabby, and he was obviously startled by it, and reacted like a human would. Because what people like the woman in the crowd obviously forget – is that HE IS ONLY A HUMAN. He’s not a deity. He’s not a god. He’s a regular dude who got white-smoked into a fancy job.
What I DID think, however, is that it would be completely HORRIBLE to be that woman. Like – imagine being her – a woman who clearly wanted desperately to touch and meet and tell the Pope something, only to be scolded by him. Yiiiiiiikes.
Which is why I tweeted this:
Imagine being someone who's been scolded by the Pope for being too grabby-grabby. https://t.co/daultdWrXv

That’s it. That’s all I said. And DAYUM some of the responses, you guys. Holy panty-wad.
But Diana wasn’t about to back down. She was furious at me for being angry at the Pope when I wasn’t ever angry at the Pope.
Aaaaand then I blocked her, because seriously it’s New Year’s Day and I’m trying to be nicer to people and that wasn’t going to end well.
Anyway, the Pope has since apologized, saying that he lost his patience and set a bad example. So there, Diana.
