DNC Chair Tom Perez Says Every Democrat Must Support Abortion. Period.

If you’re a Democrat who happens to have a few reservations on abortion, good luck. There’s no room for you in your own party anymore. At least, not now that DNC Chair Tom Perez is in charge. He recently declared that every Democrat needs to support a “woman’s right to choose” [to murder her own offspring].

“Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,” Perez declared. “That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state.”

That is “not negotiable.” There’s no room for debate. So if you happen to be one of those pro-choice Democrats who draws the line at the 20-week mark, go away. Perez isn’t interested in debating this. You either support a woman’s choice, or you don’t. Go sort out your internalized misogyny elsewhere.

Why did this come up anyway? Glad you asked! Apparently, Heath Mello, a Democratic mayoral candidate in Omaha, Nebraska, has a past of supporting “anti-women” measures, like requiring a woman to have an ultrasound (and to generally be informed) before getting an abortion. The left decided that they have absolutely ZERO tolerance for that kind of nonsense. Perez said he cannot support Mello and “every candidate who runs as a Democrat should do the same, because every woman should be able to make her own health choices. Period.”

“At a time when women’s rights are under assault from the White House, the Republican Congress, and in states across the country, we must speak up for this principle as loudly as ever and with one voice,” Perez said.

That’s one of the left’s principles. As in, a core tenet of their ideology. I repeat, a core value of the Democratic Party is supporting a woman’s right to murder her own child. How disgusting is that? It’s not something non-murderous, like fiscal responsibility or upholding the principles of the Constitution. Nope. Telling a woman it’s OK to terminate her unborn child. That’s a core value of the modern Democratic Party.

“Kudos to Chair Tom Perez and the DNC for recognizing that we are a stronger party when we stand for our core values,” NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue told The Huffington Post. “Women across the country who are, and have always been, the heart and soul of the Party, are breathing a sigh of relief to know that the DNC has our backs, and we look forward to a day when we don’t have to fight this fight again.”

I guess you could say “pro-choice” Democrats don’t want fellow Democrats to have a choice in this matter. Either support abortion 100 percent or go away. That’s the only choice they’re giving you.
