Columnist Wants To Know Why ‘Evil’ Guns Are The Symbol Of Liberty

Hey guys. I think we should help this woman out, because she seems really confused on the whole concept of freedom thing.

You see, New York Times Magazine contributor and Foreign Policy columnist Julia Ioffe doesn’t understand why guns– the source of all evil– symbolize freedom in America.

I mean, our forefathers should’ve sent Great Britain some strongly worded letters and fruit baskets! But who am I kidding? That’s just an NRA talking point, isn’t it?

Also, don’t you just love how she calls an inanimate object an “ugly evil thing?” Forget the people who USE those “ugly evil things.” It’s not like the actions of people behind the “ugly evil thing(s)” determine what they’re used for. Guns are clearly possessed and have minds of their own. Obviously.

Hey Julia. If it weren’t for brave men with good intentions using those “ugly evil things,” you wouldn’t be free right now.
