It didn’t matter what information came out about the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooter, Robert Lewis Dear. Members of the mainstream media decided that he was a pro-life Republican Christian terrorist, and nothing was going to shift them away from that narrative.
Information is slowly coming out, but there hasn’t been anything definitively indicating that he was a devout Christian conservative like MSM so desperately wants.
From what we know, the former art dealer used to be a happily married man but “declined into a loner who lives in a remote cabin, seeking bondage and sadomasochistic sex online and smoking marijuana.”
Sounds like a pro-life Christian to me.
His neighbor said he never really discussed religion or politics. His ex-wife, Pamela Ross, said he believed abortion was wrong but “it was never really a topic of discussion” and “he was not obsessed with politics.” Upon seeing his disheveled mugshot, Ross said “something must have happened to him.”
Clearly, he’s an unhinged wackjob.
Apparently, Dear told one of the officers “no more baby parts” upon his arrest, but officials still don’t know if that had anything to do with his attack and also noted that he made “statements to police Friday at the scene of the Colorado Springs clinic and in interviews that law enforcement sources described as rantings.” I should also note that none of his victims were Planned Parenthood employees or patients.
Dear’s a disgusting murderer. No one’s defending him. In fact, pro-life Christians all over the country are calling him out. (By the way, Officer Garrett Swasey, who was killed by Dear, was a pro-life Christian man. He gave his life trying to protect those people in the clinic. Just sayin’.)
But of course, the left is turning this into a “See! He represents Christianity like ISIS represents Islam! Gotcha, you religious freaks!”
Except not. For starters, as the evidence suggests so far, Dear wasn’t a practicing Christian. I’m telling you, a person who truly knows Jesus doesn’t act like that. And unlike most of the world’s “peaceful” Muslims, Christians everywhere are stepping up and condemning the actions of this piece of crap. More often than not, when an Islamic radical commits a terrible crime, we hear crickets from the silent, peaceful majority of Muslims.
And again. We have no evidence that this deranged freak was a “conservative Christian.”
Keep in mind, even if he CLAIMED to be one, we have no reason to apologize. Not once did Jesus say to slaughter those who oppose us. He didn’t say to “kill them wherever you find them” or to “cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers” or to “strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
Allah. That was Allah. That’s the key difference.
Islamic radicals are following the instructions of their holy book. Muslims who aren’t doing those things simply ignore those parts of the Quran, but it doesn’t change the fact that it contains those demands. Unlike the Bible, the Quran doesn’t have an old and new covenant. Unlike the Old Testament, the Quran isn’t bound by historical context. It’s an open-ended book. (And ultimately not God-breathed, but whatever.) Islam’s based off of the trippy visions and life of the rapist/pedophile/murderer Mohammad.
That’s the difference.
So again. Even if this guy SAID “Yeah, I’m a pro-life Christian!” He’s not. His actions are directly against the tenets of our beliefs.
So next time some smart a** liberal tries to tell you compare this guy to “Christian extremists,” kindly tell him where to shove it.
But facts. Who needs ’em? Certainly not liberals! In fact, Planned Parenthood officials already came out and said Dear was fueled by the Center for Medical Progress’ videos. The videos caused Dear to murder people.
This wouldn’t be the first time liberals blamed violence on a video.
At the same time, president and CEO Vicki Cowart of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains admitted they “don’t yet know if Planned Parenthood was in fact the target of this attack.”
Even Obama admitted it. “We don’t yet know what this particular gunman’s so-called motive was for shooting 12 people, or for terrorizing an entire community, when he opened fire with an assault weapon and took hostages at a Planned Parenthood center in Colorado,” he said.
So why a Planned Parenthood facility? Dear probably figured it’d be the best place to find helpless women who have no means to protect themselves, but again. We don’t know for sure.
But that didn’t stop liberals from jumping to unfounded conclusions.
The increase in hateful rhetoric & smear campaigns against abortion providers & patients creates an environment breeds acts of violence.
— Planned Parenthood (@PPact) November 29, 2015
So actually, we’re the reason this happened. Pro-lifers. People who want to save the lives of babies. We’re driving people to extremism. They also say we’re doing this to Muslims too, so at least they’re staying consistent.
The extreme rhetoric & lies told by those opposed to safe and legal abortion has created a toxic environment and bred acts of violence. — Cecile Richards (@CecileRichards) November 29, 2015
Another Christian terrorist is shooting up an abortion clinic. What are moderate Christians doing about their extremists? Via @daveanthony

Every time shit like this happens, john and I immediately make another donation to planned parenthood. — christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) November 27, 2015
The silence from the GOP candidates on the murders at #PlannedParenthood is telling. And sad.
— Joshua Malina (@JoshMalina) November 28, 2015
WTH. Who’s silent? Just because you tweet it doesn’t make it so.
That’s right. Imagine if this had been ISIS. 24/7 all wkend. But this was a white guy. They made sure not 2 kill him https://t.co/V5kNhzmRzg — Michael Moore (@MMFlint) November 28, 2015
Omg. Someone stick a donut in that butterball’s mouth please.
I strongly support Planned Parenthood and the work it’s doing. I hope people realize that bitter rhetoric can have unintended consequences. — Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) November 28, 2015
Bitter rhetoric. Suggesting that taxpayers SHOULDN’T be forced to fund the slaughter of innocent babies is making people shoot up clinics. Alrighty then.
Anti-choice extremists aren’t stupid. They know what kind language and strategies incite. — Jessica Valenti (@JessicaValenti) November 28, 2015
Isn’t it awesome? They get so mad at us for wanting to preserve life, then accuse us of not valuing life and encouraging others to take it because we disagree with them.
Liberalism is a mental disorder. It’s the only logical explanation for this.
