Black Lives Matter and the other social justice warriors of the world have been wonderfully quiet the last few days. And it’s not because of a lack of horrible events going on around the world. It just so happens that the recent events don't fit their agenda.
Did you hear about the 8-year-old boy who was shot on Charleston’s East Side this weekend?
Of course you didn’t.
The shooting involved a feud between two “rival rapper” groups.
Tyreik Gadsden was left paralyzed after a stray bullet struck him while he was visiting his grandmother.
According to a witness, the boy was walking along the street, visiting his grandmother when the groups confronted him and started acting like total jerks.
The group warned, “Don’t come back ’round here!” just before someone passed a young man known as “Lil D” a small, black pistol. “Lil D” then pointed the handgun and fired shots into the crowd as people ran from the scene, according to the affidavit.
One of the bullets struck the 8-year-old in his left forearm, causing a minor injury. The boy was described as being “caught in the middle” of the fight. After the shots rang out, rival rappers yelled after the fleeing group, “Quit fakin’!”
“Lil D” has been identified as Deomontae Wallace, 16, of Ranger Drive in North Charleston and is charged as an adult with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree assault and battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say that the culture is toxic. Gang/rap culture is part of the problem. No. It has nothing to do with skin color. It’s a cultural problem, which is why Black Lives Matter has nothing to do with it. They only deal with "issues" involving "rival" skin colors.
But don’t worry! This kind of violence will totally end after we get rid of all the racist cops running around. And ban Confederate flags. And dig up the graves of Confederate generals and stuff.
That’ll end the violence fo sho.
