Earth Day Irony: Solar Panel Causes Fire At UK Town Hall

Something about the preachy liberal smugness of Earth Day that makes me want to go out and burn a pile of old tires while running the engine on a diesel truck and turning on every appliance in my house.

Turns out, I don't need to go that far. I could just turn on a crappy solar panel and let it do the job for me!

Breitbart is reporting that a faulty solar panel on the roof of a town hall building in the UK caught fire and sent all kinds of icky smoke into the air. No one was hurt and the fire was put out, thankfully. But still – it's mock-worthy.

I'll remember to bring a solar panel to my next weenie roast.
