If you follow us on Twitter (@Chicksonright) you might have seen me randomly posting a few thoughts about last night's address in real time. Here are a few.

Because seriously? Is he really unaware of the Equal Pay Act? That's kind of embarrassing.

This is the WORST, isn't it? And speaking of applause:

I was amazed at how obnoxiously noisy the minority party was. You?
Then, Obama started talking about how we really need to build infrastructure and roads and bridges and stuff. It was so deja vu for me.

Because where did all that money GO?

Did y'all see him? He either looked pained or incredulous or annoyed or all of the above. It was hilarious.

Did you hear all the "Surely we can agree on this" and "Surely we can agree on that" stuff? Ridiculous. And the leadership stuff? It was laughable. He kept talking about how America sets this big example when it comes to leadership, even though he SUCKS MONKEYBALLS AT IT.
But here was the most amazing part of the speech for me:

It was absolute MADNESS how Obama acted like a petulant little child in the face of even the slightest bit of Republican criticism (the applause about this being his last term), and then proceeded to go on with his prepared remarks about FIXING THE POLITICS in Washington, and expected to be taken seriously. This is how much of a brat he is, you guys. It was absolutely unreal. He turned an official State of the Union address into a high school lunchroom fight.
There was the moment he talked about closing Gitmo, too. Did y'all catch the looks on the faces of the military leadership when he said that? STONE COLD STARES. This military has so much contempt for the President. And you know what? It's completely warranted.
Finally, it was truly embarrassing to watch the Democrats fawn over Obama as he walked out – someone even asked for him to sign their TIE.

I'm sure it's happened with other presidents, and I just haven't paid attention, but seriously, this practice makes our Congress look like Justin Bieber fans. It's absurd.
Anyway, feel free to weigh in with your own observations. ![]()
