The Nick Sandmann Case Against The Washington Post Is BAAAAAACK!

As with all things, people typically believe something when they see it. And in storytelling, editing is everything, as is timing.

Most of us can remember that day in early 2019, during the Pro-Life / March For Life event in D.C… Y’all remember the pro-life march that drew higher attendance than the pro-choice Women’s March. And when the Washington Post among other liberal media outlets jumped in and went on full viral display with their narrowly edited video. Why? To create yet another FALSE NARRATIVE. One designed to “sell” a story about a pro-life racist white kid wearing a red MAGA hat and his standoff between his fellow students and indigenous activist marchers at the National Mall.

The viral story led to the immediate condemnation of the students’ actions by some who didn’t think to question the narrative. Within the next few days, once the full video feed escaped into the ether — otherwise known as the Internet that Al Gore blessed us all with — Americans began to wake up. Soon, the world-wide-web and social media were humming with questions about the real story. Everyone soon realized there was more truth to the story than The WaPo published and what the biased MSNBC and CNN interviews covered.

Shortly after all of the drama settled down, L. Lin Wood signed on as Nick Sandmann’s legal counsel. In February, Nick Sandmann sued the Washington Post for $250 million in the first Covington Catholic lawsuit, accusing the WaPo of modern-day McCarthyism. Specifically, accusing the newspaper of defaming the teen by suggesting he instigated the confrontation and participated in “racist taunts” against the elderly man, fueling a social-media uproar.

Then in July, a federal judge dismissed the $250 million defamation lawsuit filed against the Washington Post. The Court ruled on the grounds of “coverage protected by the First Amendment.” ….Yeah right. Ugh.

BUT NOW, many are cheering for justice in this case again because Nick Sandmann is one step closer to achieving it. If Sandmann wins this case against the WaPo, he’ll win some justice for every American fed up with scum-of-the-earth journalists who continuously lie and cheat their way through the “first amendment” and claim to be trustworthy.

Monday, a federal judge in Kentucky reopened the Covington Catholic $250 million defamation case filed against the Washington Post. After dismissing it in July, the judge is allowing the lawsuit to proceed by narrowing its focus.

Attorney Todd V. McMurtry, who represents the Sandmann family with attorney L. Lin Wood, called the judge’s order a “huge victory.”

“The Sandmann family and our legal team are grateful that Judge Bertelsman has allowed the case to proceed,” said Mr. McMurtry in an email. “The Court’s ruling preserves the heart of Nicholas Sandmann’s claims. We can consider this a huge victory and look forward to initiating discovery against the Washington Post.”

The Sandmann attorneys have also filed separate $275 million defamation lawsuits against CNN and NBCUniversal for their coverage of the incident.

The false narrative that went viral was rooted in several WaPo/media statements made against Sandmann in their story. The misleading WaPo narrative included Sandman “bullying and harassing and blocking” Mr. Phillps with a…. wait for it…. “a racist” smirk on his face. While many false accusers never apologized, SOME of those who accused Nicholas of bullying and “smirking” at Mr. Phillips did later apologize (including the Diocese of Covington in Covington, Kentucky.)

The reopened case will dig deeper, allowing for discovery on three statements Sandmann’s attorneys claim as defamatory, AKA FALSE NARRATIVES. The new ruling will also allow Sandmann’s attorneys to subpoena people shown in the videos to gather further evidence surrounding the three defamatory statements.

“Nicholas Sandmann deserves his day in court against WaPo. Now he will get it,” tweeted Mr. Wood.

The bar on trusting journalism has been set pretty low over the past few years, and it seems to be lowered a notch daily because of one case (like this) after another. (The Smollett Hoax is another big one that comes to mind.)

And as for the all-anti-Trump-news-all-the-time, I couldn’t believe it Saturday when I read those respectful headlines about Baghdadi – you know, those written to avoid offending anyone except Trump. Then again, once I saw the source as the WaPo, I believed it.  How ironic is it that this case for Nick Sandmann vs. the WaPo reopens one day after the Washington Post gives more respect to the leader of ISIS than they do the President of the United States?  As they say, timing is everything.

Good luck WaPo, maybe it would help if y’all start cutting back on those travel and entertainment expenses. Because you know, you might need that extra cash to keep your lights on.  After all, you never want to turn off those lights at the WaPo. You know better than any of us that “Democracy Dies in the Darkness.”
