Bobert O’Rourke is evidently dead set on proving my posit that he’s the WORST. Even though his gun confiscation proposal is bonkersful, unconstitutional, and an undisguised desperate attempt to gain something, anything in the polls, I begrudgingly respected his commitment to his ludicrous idea and the conviction that led him to tout the logical conclusion thereof. It made him unique among his ilk, the likes of whom can’t spit out anything that doesn’t make them sound like Santa Claus.
Except OH WAIT, HE CAN’T EVEN CLAIM THAT.
Boto has officially begun walking back his infamous “Hell yeah, we’re going to take your AR-15s” claim at a Des Moines school.
A student in Des Moines today told @BetoORourke that he hunts using an AR-15, arguing it's less painful for the animal.
O'Rourke said maybe those who want to use an AR-15 to hunt "could keep it at a hunting club or at a gun range," & committed to listening to all points of view pic.twitter.com/RqGuqtdHEE

“Perhaps a way to address a legitimate concern or need is to ensure that those who have or want to use an AR-15 are able to keep it at a hunting club or at a gun range so that there is some control and safeguards still placed on that firearm,” O’Rourke told a group of high school students during a campaign stop in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Democratic presidential hopeful’s response came after one of the students approached O’Rourke about the efficiency of using an AR-15 to hunt certain animals such as deer. The student put forth that using less “efficient” firearms could prolong the hunted animal’s suffering or even spoil the meat that would otherwise be consumed.
This is going to be touted as a “victory” for Rourkie’s campaign, because he’s “open to voters’ input” and “in it for the people.” But even if I concede that territory (which I haven’t committed to doing), the fact remains that he announced a gun confiscation. He HAD to know there were people out there who wanted to keep their “assault rifles” and wouldn’t be happy giving them up. What I think DID take him by surprise is that there’s perfectly legitimate reasons for owning an AR-15.
I just don’t know what to do with this. Bobbo is such a wiener, there’s just. . . nothing there. Even his most extreme and impassioned positions are wafer-thin, and now we have proof.
