Biden’s Claims Of Astronomical Student Loan Debt Have People Wondering If He’s Gone Off The Deep End

Joe Biden attended college in the 1960’s…

Which is why his latest claims leave MANY scratching their heads:

BREAKING: Biden told a supporter after Keene State College (N.H.) stump speech yesterday that he came out of college with “$280,000” in debt, but then just moments later, he told another supporter that his debt was “over $300,000”

So if he graduated from college in 1965 with $300,000 of student loan debt…

Um. Something’s not adding up here, Joe.

According to the U.S. Education Department, average undergraduate tuition and fees — excluding room and board — in the 1965-66 school year was $607 per year for a four-year college (public and private) and $203 for a two-year college.

The average cost (tuition, fees, room, and board) of a public, 4-year college like the University of Delaware was $996/year when Joe Biden graduated from college. The idea that he had $300,000 in debt–eye-popping even by today’s standards–in the 1960’s is preposterous.
