Five Juveniles Shot In Jacksonville Fla. In The Last Two Weeks, MSM Silent

The tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has sparked mass debate on our nation’s positions on guns and gun control. Are civil discussions warranted? Without a doubt. But MSM is so selective. This story really got me thinking about it, because it hits so close to home literally.

A 7-year-old boy was killed last weekend after some sort of drive-by shooting. This kid was playing in his front yard, people. He was shot in his own front yard.

The shooting happened late Sunday night in the Durkeeville neighborhood on Mt Herman Street. Police say the child and a 23-year-old man were in the front yard when they were shot. Both were taken to a local hospital, the child was pronounced dead and the other victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say it’s still early in their investigation, but they believe the suspect vehicle is a gray SUV and could be a Toyota model. JSO says there were at least two people inside the suspect vehicle, but their identities are unknown at this time.

It gets worse. That precious boy was the fifth juvenile shot in Jacksonville, Fla. in the last two weeks alone. I repeat, five juveniles have been shot.

A 7-year-old boy killed in the crossfire of a gun battle Sunday night in front of a Durkeeville home was the fifth juvenile shot in 11 days in Jacksonville, police said.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Tashawn Gallon was playing in the front yard of a home on Mount Herman Street when an SUV pulled up and someone inside opened fire. Police said multiple people in the yard fired back.

Again– this is just one city we’re talking about.

An 11-year-old, a 13-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old all survived being hit by gunfire in three separate incidents across the city.

“These shootings need to stop,” JSO Assistant Chief Scott Dingee said during a briefing announcing Tashawn’s death. “They are unacceptable. Murders and shootings are unacceptable, but when you have children that can’t play in their front yards, it’s unbelievable to me.”

The 15-year-old was hit in the neck by a bullet while riding his bike in the Woodstock neighborhood. He spoke to News4Jax on Monday, showing our crew the bullet hole in his neck.

He’s expected to be OK, but his friend said the shooting death of Tashawn is “why I stay inside unless I’m going to school.”

Less than two weeks before Tashawn was killed, a 13-year-old and an 11-year-old were hit by gunfire in the Mixon Town area while they were playing catch with a football. Police said they were wounded in a drive-by shooting that was likely not targeting them.

Both boys are expected to be OK.

It doesn’t end there. What about Baltimore? Chicago? Detroit?

A 24-year-old woman was fatally shot in Baltimore last month. Three men were killed and one teen injured in four incidents on just ONE DAY this week. Two brothers in Detroit were shot and killed in their home last week. What were the brothers doing? Unloading groceries out of a vehicle. At least four were shot in Chicago between Tuesday and Wednesday, and over Presidents’ Day Weekend, 8 were killed and 30 wounded across the city.

Where’s MSM? Where are the marches? Where are the protests? Why aren’t they up in arms over the shootings that occur in those cities on a daily basis?

What happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was tragic. Horrific. Heartbreaking. But isn’t it also tragic that a 7-year-old boy was shot in his own front yard? 8 people died in Chicago over one weekend. Why don’t they care?

It all comes back to Dana Loesch’s point.

“Crying white mothers are ratings gold to you and many in the legacy media … notice I said ‘crying white mothers’ because there are thousands of grieving black mothers in Chicago every weekend, and you don’t see town halls for them, do you? Where’s the CNN town hall for Chicago?” she asked. “Where’s the CNN town hall for sanctuary cities?”

Spoiler alert: They don’t want one. If they held one, they’d be forced to admit that law-abiding citizens aren’t the problem.
