We’re still in the thick of the #MeToo movement. Like all of you, I’ve been watching it from the sidelines. After all, this isn’t about us. This isn’t about the power of the “widespread patriarchy.” This is about Hollywood being a giant cesspool of hypocritical, virtue-signaling libs. Yes. Sexual assault is awful and abusers deserve to be exposed and called out at every turn, but Hollywood needs to look in the mirror. Many of these women KNEW about the culture. They willingly participated in it, and they chose to remain silent. *coughMerylStreepandOprahcoughcough*
Speaking of the #MeToo movement, I have a real problem with feminists shouting “victim!” over EVERY SINGLE GESTURE they don’t like. If a guy asks for your phone number, that is not sexual assault. If a guy gives you a side hug, that is not sexual assault. If a guy whistles at you, that is not sexual assault. I could go on, but you get the point.
A man can say you like nice in a dress and call you sweetheart. IT’S NOT A SEXIST INSULT ASHLEY JUDD.
*deep breaths*
That brings me to this. Condoleeza Rice recently spoke about the #MeToo movement, and I’m rejoicing because FINALLY. A voice of reason!
She said the #MeToo movement is good and all but issued a warning.
“Let’s not turn women into snowflakes.”
YES. PREACH IT SISTA.
She goes on to talk about the consequences of going overboard. One of those being, men just won’t bother with women. When it comes to hiring a man or a woman, the employer might go, “Eh. Is this Chick crazy? Might as well stay safe and go with the dude.”
I’m paraphrasing, but you get what I’m saying.
She’s right.
wise words.

Wowowowowow. Liberals are so kind and tolerant!
Good consideration and mindfulness to this issue.

What don't you understand? She said that exposing these circumstances are a good thing. When she says we have to be careful, she means women shouldn't carry the whole #MeToo movement for the wrong reasons. Because sometimes there are tendencies for these things to go wrong.

Anyway, I thought her remarks were a breath of fresh air.
