During an event at the White House honoring Navajo code talkers, President Trump cracked an Elizabeth Warren joke. ‘Cause you know. She’s a fake Indian.
“I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here,” Trump said. “Although, we have a representative in Congress who has been here a long time … longer than you — they call her Pocahontas!”
While visiting Monday with a special group of Native American military veterans known as the “code talkers,” Trump joked that the group has had “a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago.”
“They call her Pocahontas,” the president said in reference to Warren, who later accused him of being unable to honor the veterans “without having to throw out a racial slur.”
That’s right. Libs are accusing him of using a racial slur. Pocahontas is a slur now.
Reporters asked Sarah Sanders about Trump’s “racial slur” Monday.
“Why is it appropriate for the president to use the racial slur in any context?” MSNBC’s Kristen Welker asked.
“I don’t think it is appropriate for him to use a racial slur or anyone else,” Sanders said.
Welker pressed on. It doesn’t matter if it’s not actually a racial slur. Some people believe it’s a racial slur. Therefore, it is.
“Why is it appropriate?” she asked.
“Like I said, I don’t think it is,” Sanders said. “And I don’t think — that was certainly not the president’s intent.”
Welker was relentless.
“Does he see political value in calling people out racially? Why use that term? Why use that term?” she asked.
OMG KRISTEN HE WAS MAKING FUN OF ELIZABETH WARREN’S FAKE HERITAGE. This isn’t rocket science.
Sanders’ response was utter perfection.
“I think Sen. Warren was very offensive when she lied about something to advance her career. I don’t understand why no one is asking about that.”
BAM BOOM POW. Done. Any more questions?
