I cannot stop laughing at this.
We got tipped off about the following thread, and y’all just have to read it for yourselves below, because holy crap, these people are so hilariously self-righteous. I’ve included screenshots because I have a feeling that the thread starter, Lauren, will mark the thread private as soon as she listens to the segment of our show again and realizes she completely got it wrong, but I’m posting the (currently public) thread below the screenshots in case anyone feels like participating on her wall, where she’s actively encouraging it.
Quick background. On Monday’s show, we talked about the fact that Lena Dunham had tweeted out a suggestion about filing a class action lawsuit with 30 million other women against Donald Trump for emotional distress. You can hear that segment for yourselves (and you should, for proper context) right here:
You can catch the rest of that segment (although we moved on to another topic right where it cuts off) right here.
So, you’ll note that in that segment, there is not a single mention of sexual harassment. Not one. That’s an important point, because here’s what crazy Lauren said in her post that proved exactly what we said about these fragile snowflakes to begin with:
Holy crap. Lauren. You completely lied about what we said, and now you’ve got a bunch of your sheep friends actually agreeing with you about something you got totally wrong.
We made fun of Lena because she wants to sue the POTUS for emotional distress, and we suggested that she would probably be participating in Scream at the Sky Helplessly day, like so many others suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s an actual thing, Lauren. Just look right here! What we did NOT do, is say anything whatsoever about sexual harassment. What we said is that snowflakes like Lena, who cannot get over the results of the 2016 election, are ridiculous. And when Obama and a whole bunch of other misfits won in 2012, we got a little tipsy, and then moved on with our lives. We didn’t suggest a class action lawsuit over “emotional distress.”
So it’s cute that you will “NEVER STOP STANDING UP FOR YOURSELF AND OTHER WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGED AND YOU’LL NEVER SILENCE YOUR VOICE ABOUT THIS ISSUE,” but you actually don’t have a freaking clue what issue you’re even talking about. Getting the subject matter right would be a good place to start, if in fact you plan on being vocal. FYI.
And while you’re playing all tough girl about us coming over there and seeing how fragile you really are, you might consider actually contacting us directly instead of telling your friends to do it for you.
Here’s how her friends chimed in:
Happy that she knows about the Wall of Shame (not hall, Lauren – another thing you got wrong), because I feel like this is a great addition to it.
We’re MONSTERS AND HORRIBLE PEOPLE! MUAH HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Again, Lauren thinks we’re “trashing” Lena over some sexual harassment thing, which we’re not. Although, come to think of it, Lena did molest her younger sister, so….
Dying laughing that 60 of Lauren’s friends are followers of ours. OMG HA HA HA HA HA!
Note the chick who basically TOLD HER BROTHER to unfriend us, because God forbid her brother be entitled to his own thoughts and opinions. We can’t have people thinking for themselves or anything – that’d be TERRIBLE!!!
And yes – we did just win an award. YAY US!
She’s surprised this hasn’t “blown up” more, y’all. I’m guessing it hasn’t because it wasn’t actually about what she said it was, but you know – facts and feminists don’t go together very well. But she wants it to blow up? I’m happy to oblige. This is DELICIOUS.
That last comment is a perfect example of what happens when people spread false stories. Wow. We should be disgusted with the things Lauren said we said that we never actually said. Got it.
Here’s the public post (for now). Feel free to link her to this post. I plan to!
Lauren – next time you listen to a radio show and you decide you’re going to post a public opinion about it, maybe you should actually know what you’re talking about first, so that you don’t look like a complete moron.
Helpful hint from the Chicks. You’re welcome.
