Carolina Panthers Fan Sucker Punches An Older Man

I’ve never liked the Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton is annoying, and their fans are obnoxious (although I’ve seen worse). I guess the reality is, there are terrible fans of every single team. I will never understand the people who get so emotional that they feel the need to punch fans of the opposing team. ESPECIALLY if the other fan is an older man.

Yeah. That happened.

There’s a viral video going around, showing a younger Panthers fan sucker punching an older man at the Panthers/Eagles game. According to the individual who took the video, the older man complained that the dude was standing during the entire game, blocking his view. (That’s happened to me too. You never know who you’re going to end up sitting by at these events.)

The video shows a man wearing a Cam Newton jersey turn around and address an older man seated behind him, wearing a white T-shirt.

 

The Panthers fan then proceeds to punch the older man several times, causing blood to stream down the victim’s face.

 

Fans seated around the dueling pair stepped in to separate them, and eventually the younger man grabbed his girlfriend and left.

 

Warren Carrigan is the man who shot the video. He wrote in the caption that the older man complained to the couple for standing throughout the game – blocking his view.

 

‘Dude bro & his chicka were standing for the entire game. words gradually got more and more escalated,’ Carrigan wrote.

He detailed the account on an Instagram post:

edit: to clarify further, both the puncher and punchee were wearing Panthers attire.

 

The assailant was seated in section 541, row 24, seat 10.

It’s really hard to watch. You can tell the older man is hurt. It hurts my heart.
