I had no idea who was even playing in the Superbowl until last Friday, y’all. Honestly. I don’t even care about the NFL. I’m more of a college football girl. SEC chick, through and through. I have approximately ZERO percent interest in the National Football league. The only thing good that has happened to me personally during the Superbowl is my daughter being born 13 years ago. Yup, she was born during an Indiana blizzard, right smack in the middle of Superbowl weekend, and I’m convinced this is where her love of greasy bar food began.
Anywho, I will always catch up on the pre-show, halftime show and commercials, because HELLO – that is the most important part of Superbowl Sunday. Last night, the ads were yawn-worthy, in my opinion. I did like Gutfeld’s – very clever. And I thought the “Jesus” ads were pretty unique, too.
Did y’all see them? Here’s one:
Of course, Jesus is in them, so naturally, people are losing their minds over ads that dare to invoke His name. Liberals believe that Christians hate LGBTQXYZABCDEFG, blah blah, and we are basically a hate group now. And I suppose I should’ve expected an entire segment from The Young Turks about how hatemongering these ads were (what in the world?). Additionally, I should’ve seen questioning from baby-killing-advocates like AOC coming from a mile away:
Something tells me Jesus would *not* spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) February 13, 2023
What was that about fascism, AOC?
Imagine how much food you could have bought hungry people for the cost of a Super Bowl ad.
— Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis (@RevJacquiLewis) February 13, 2023
Do *that* in Jesus’ name.
You know, it’s funny how these chicks never had an issue with HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS being sent to freaking (um, Nazi?) Ukraine (that we have no business funding) when we could’ve used that money to – you guessed it – FEED HUNGRY PEOPLE. Especially when we’re in massive debt.
Selective outrage is fun, isn’t it?
I could go on and ON and ON about the leftist progressive commies who obviously dislike Jesus – those who were audibly and visibly irritated that He dared to show up in Superbowl commercials. But lo and behold, there were even people on the right side of the aisle that didn’t like it. Just hang out on Twitter for a few minutes.
Everyone is so outraged by everything these days. For crying out loud, this is JESUS, y’all. How can bringing attention to God and Jesus be a bad thing in a world that’s so fractured and hurting and turning AWAY from Him?
This is when I really miss the 80s.
My youngest daughter just turned thirteen last week. I’m super proud of her for so many reasons – she’s incredibly bright, funny, and remarkably gifted as an athlete. But I will tell you – the morning after her birthday slumber party a week ago, on Sunday mid-morning, I walked into her room and saw her sitting on her bed with four of her best gal pals. They were doing an impromptu bible study, because they knew they wouldn’t be able to attend church.
I don’t think I’ve been prouder of her than I was in that moment. I’ve prayed consistently for her to be better than I am, and that’s living proof right there that God answers our prayers, y’all.
We’re in a great spiritual battle in this country – make no mistake. I know some people are calling these ads “cringey,” but I see nothing negative about Jesus being talked about more in our morally-bankrupt pop culture.
In a world of Kardashians and Cardi Bs, mindless TikToks and compromised values, how exactly is this something to complain about?

Yes, there are Nazi military units in Ukraine. There is no justification for supporting Nazis. Before we send any more aid to Ukraine, we should demand the Nazi units be disbanded and their leaders banned from the government and the military. Any Nazi convicted of war crimes should be executed right after their fair trial.

That is great about your daughter and her friends. I agree with not sending money to nazi, whether in Ukraine or elsewhere. I understand the Ukrainian Nazis were worse that the German Nazis. If that is possible. (I think the left just uses the term Nazi with no clue as to it historical meaning or who those cowardly baby killers were.)
Tanks after reading your story, I feel old. My 13-year-old granddaughter was born the day after the Super Bowl and my daughter was in the hospital the day of. I remember because I had to stay home because only so many people were allowed in the hospital room. I had to prepare food for the Superbowl for me and a couple of my sons. One of the boys actually had the nerve to ask my wife as she was leaving, “so, who is going to make snacks for us to eat during the Super Bowl?” It was then hero dad to the rescue.
I got out the deep fryer and cooked chicken wings, which were surprisedly eatable. Yes, I googled how to fry chicken in a deep fryer. Somehow toward the end of my only deep-frying experience, the grease started coming out of the fryer onto the countertop. (It has always been a philosophy of mine that if there is something you do not like to do, just screw it up really bad when your wife asks you to do said task and she will never ask you again.)
We were going to clean it up but first the game was on and we had to eat the fried chicken before it got cold. Then we forgot. My wife still reminds me, at the least opportune times I might add, that it took her over two weeks to get the smell out of her kitchen. You would think she would have just appreciated the effort and would have been I we did not try and cook the wild caught salmon in the freezer.

Not “tanks” but “thanks”.
It seems to me that AO-C and Lewis wants the money spent on that ad for THEMSELVES, just like the disciple who complained that the substance used for washing Jesus’ feet could have been sold and the proceeds used to help the poor.
Show me just one example of liberals loving their political enemies.
