I believe in capitalism, the free market, personal responsibility, two genders, and I don’t think that stapling money to the clouds will change the weather in any way. For starters, I’m not God, and with China and India being responsible for 90% of carbon emissions in the world, my financial contribution to any random-cloud-stapling is just an exercise in futility – and a convenient way for the government to SUCK MORE MONEY FROM ME.
I’m severely overtaxed (and for WHAT? So Nancy Pelosi can have NUMEROUS HOMES?), over-regulated, and over-monitored by people who are supposed to be working for ME. And I’m absolutely sure that government is way out of control at this point. Fight me on that. I’m right. Our overblown government wouldn’t understand the word efficiency if it jumped up and bit them on their elitist ass. They’re overdue for an overhaul. A draining.
I believe in in the sanctity of LIFE – a concept so simple to half of us, but to the other half’s single women? It’s become a “political issue” above the economy, the border, and even rampant crime in the last election. Killing babies IS birth control to these chicks now, and they’ll stop at nothing to do it. All other problems we have in this country be damned.
Gross.
I believe that men have no place in women’s sports, women’s restrooms, or women’s sororities. Our mothers and grandmothers fought hard for those spaces, so kindly stay the f**k out and find your own spaces, men-who-want-to- pretend-to-be-women. You’re not . Call me whatever “ist” you want, but I know what real feminism was once upon a time, and it wasn’t this. Modern-day feminism is a freaking JOKE. “Free the nipple! But don’t objectify meeeeeee.” Meanwhile, there are women in Iran who are Actually Fighting to show their hair in public. The new American feminism has been reduced to a social media meme.
I believe that children shouldn’t be subjected to men-in-drag shows and adults taking out their own mental instability on them by cutting kids’ genitals off. It’s mutilation of a child, plain and simple, and perpetrators need to be locked up. We must protect the most vulnerable among us.
I believe that our kids should be learning subjects in school void of bias and social justice. Parents should be involved in every aspect of their childrens’ lives – including their education – and teachers shouldn’t be imprinting their politics onto kids. Nothing should be hidden from parents when it comes to their children. Ever.
Liberals believe the opposite of what I believe, frankly, and we’re never going to meet halfway. I’ve been in this business for almost 15 years, and I’m certain that we keep moving farther apart policy-wise. As for James Woods’ tweet above? I agree – I absolutely do think that many of these people are freaking insane. Their policies are self-destructive, anti-American, downright crazy, and lean in the direction of big government a’la communism. The last two years are proof enough.
Irreconcilable differences, y’all. I’d love nothing more than to get a divorce at this point. We see how the blue states and cities are working…so let’s just split in two already. They can govern themselves, and we’ll govern ourselves. Red America and Blue America. Problems solved.
Just let us have Texas, and they can keep California.

I just wonder how this would work in geographical terms. We’re not split down the middle geographically. Can you imagine being the sole red state in the midst of blue? Or having a blue state in our midst, tainting everything it touched? And I don’t just want Texas, I want Florida, too.
Yes I agree we are a divided nation. But it’s the liberals who have divided us. They indoctrinated half of the mainstream over the last 60 years and moved off to the far left. The other half of the mainstream has stayed exactly where they were. They will never convince me that conservatives are the extremists.
Daisy, this is the best post you’ve ever written. And possibly the saddest post, because…this is where we’re at in our beloved America.

It’s a working postulate of mine that anyone who thinks he has the authority (or the “right,” if he’s an ignoramus) to impose his will on me by force is dangerously insane, teetering at the border of criminal violence. I stay away from such persons when it’s possible. When it’s not, I’ll have one hand on my wallet and the other on whatever I’m armed with. It’s a policy I recommend to persons who live in “mixed” districts.
Every national election map that breaks elections down to the counties in each state shows a giant blanket of red, with patches of blue where big Demon-RAT cities (Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, Detroit, etc) are located. Even in big Demon-RAT run states, you still have a strong majority of counties showing red on the maps.
It’s like a science fiction movie where an alien virus has been dumped on the large cities where it would do the most damage by infecting the most people. Sadly, in our case, LIE-beralism is the “virus” that has infected large cities.
One side cannot afford a national divorce. The country at the state level may seem fairly evenly split but increase the resolution to the county level and it starts turning bright red. Team Blue cannot survive without Team Red but the inverse is not true.
I agree divorce is looking like the best bet.Here in Montana we would most likely have to clean house in Missoula since it is a collage town and the blue stronghold of the state no loss there so yah its either divorce or a civil war with us sane people taking on the feds and their insane blue crew.

It would probably have to be three at least- A reversed J in the west (half of Washington, half of Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, and parts of Arizona and New Mexico), a backwards L in the east (New England, New York City, east Pennsylvania, New Jersey, on down the coast, turning at Atlanta and going west toward Memphis. Give Chicago, Michigan, and parts of Wisconsin to Canada (maybe trade for Alberta). Hawaii gets to be its own country or join the west.
Ghost in the Shell had a division of the US into 3 separate countries around this period of time and the map you propose is rather close to that and it came out 20+ years ago.

The abortion issue is simple. You either support murdering unborn babies or you don’t.
Some counties in Oregon and Illinois have “passed” referendums on leaving their state and either joining with another (Idaho in the case of Oregon) or having their own state. That may be the only way that freedom loving people can escape from the dominance of the leftist Democrats (without having to uproot and move to Texas/Florida). If the results stand in New York then more people and businesses will leave. Of course, when the more rational thinking people leave, the ones left behind will just vote Democrat, ensuring that one party rules and that the state will flush itself down the toilet (unless the Feds come in and bail it out).
I also believe that the Democrats cheated like hell again. I saw where Project Veritas looked at one voting precinct in Pennsylvania. There was a man standing outside passing out flyers telling people how to vote. The building that the voting was going on in had Democrat candidate signs posted next to the door. I think it was in that state that a video shows ballots showing up on election night. Flagrant examples of cheating. Yet the Dems don’t care (and the courts don’t care apparently). Unless the GOP begins to fight back harder and sooner nothing will change.
I live in a state where a majority of voters just voted for Fetterman.
I feel your pain.
But we’re the United States of America, even if we aren’t exactly unified nowadays.
The thing is, I suspect we’re more unified than we think we are, and we can certainly agree to disagree when we aren’t.
For example, I’m probably not as zealously anti-abortion as you are. But I respect your views, and if we were in charge, I have no doubt we could find common ground acceptable to both of us.
Don’t lose hope.
Sadly the idea of polite disagreement has become the exception rather than the rule, I think. Most people on the left have been completely brainwashed into seeing anyone who disagrees with them on any point as a quintessential threat, a clear and present danger to their very existence. Given that mind-set, why would they feel at all inclined to even listen to our side, much less work to find some compromise or common ground. I’m sad to say it, but I’ve got to side with Daisy on this one.
