Kanye is buying Parler, y’all.
I have no idea why this is something he thinks is going to be helpful to him, but apparently he does. Here’s the official press release:
Read the official press release about Parlement Technologies’ intent to sell the Parler social media platform to Ye: https://t.co/idUow9bvv6 #parler #news pic.twitter.com/sYcyyEBBQI

Parler’s current CEO is George Farmer. Candace Owens’ husband. Candace and Kanye are pretty tight, as you likely know. I have no idea what kind of money Kanye is going to be paying for the platform, but I’d imagine that it’s good to be friends with Kanye in that regard. 🙂
According to this, Parler and Ye will “enter into a definite purchase agreement and expect to close on the deal by the end of the year,” and the terms, “of the proposed transaction would include ongoing technical support from Parlement and the use of private cloud services via Parlement’s private cloud and data center infrastructure.”
Ye continues to face TONS of criticism about his recent anti-semitic remarks, and doesn’t seem to be showing much contrition at all. BEHOLD:
Kanye West blasts the media for labeling him an "abuser," as well as those close to him for not defending him:

"The 78 media outlets that called me an abuser when I was tryna get that heroin addict away from my kids that was tattooing my kids names on him, Skete, Pete Davidson." pic.twitter.com/QzrgSRVO8x
Yiiiiikes. Jewish Zionists are not “about that life,” Ye. Holy crap. You wanna call out specific individuals that screwed you over? Fine. But you don’t just get to say that “Jewish Zionists” are responsible for your ex-wife putting her own sexual activities on blast everywhere.
Sorry, Ye fans. But he’s off the rails. He has flashes of brilliance and moments of amazing clarity and truth-telling, but he’s also wrong about a lot, and this is an example.
But anyway, he’s buying Parler now.

Mock was right and I was wrong in my earlier comment. (Sorry, open mouth, insert both feet.)
I left a longer comment as to why I was wrong, but it is awaiting moderation.
Mock was right and I was wrong about Ye.
I did some research, and it appears Ye’s statements are similar to those espoused by Black Israelite Hebrews (“BHI”). I was hoping Ye was better than this, but a little internet research shows that may not be the case. So sad. In my experience only evil loving morons are antisemitic and would blame all people of Jewish decent for made up deeds and the actions of a few Jewish people. Like the old joke says, if you have two Rabbis arguing an issue, you will get at least three different opinions.
When talking about BHI a website said:
“Some of the groups are so extreme they’ve been classified as hate groups because of their violent, racist, misogynistic, and anti-Semitic rhetoric. . . .”

An ADL article explains the following about Ye:
“Questioning Jewish Identity
There is no evidence that Ye views himself as a member of any organized extremist group, but his recent remarks are reminiscent of popular tropes espoused by antisemites, including his claim that Black people are Jews and cannot be antisemitic.
The belief that Black people – rather than Jewish people today – are the true descendants of the biblical Israelites is common among followers of the Black Hebrew Israelite (BHI) movement. BHI adherents, who reject Judaism and are not the same as Black Jews or Jews of color, refer to themselves as the “true Jews” to emphasize this distinction. This belief implicitly calls into question whether modern Jews, of whom only a minority are people of color, have any historical relationship with the ancient Israelites described in the Bible.
Some BHI sects are openly antisemitic and extremist, and adherents state explicitly that members of the mainstream Jewish community are “imposters” or “fake Jews” who have used trickery and other nefarious tactics to convince the world that they are the legitimate children of Israel and to steal the religious heritage of Black people. Many proponents of this “fake Jews” narrative believe that modern Jews are part of a global conspiracy to oppress non-Jews.
The defense that Ye provides for his own antisemitic remarks – that he cannot be antisemitic because Black people are Jews – is also highly reminiscent of ideas espoused by both BHI adherents and members of the Nation of Islam (NOI), the largest Black nationalist organization in the country with a long history of antisemitism and bigotry. Because these groups view Black people as “semitic,” they believe that they inherently cannot be antisemitic.”

I totally disagree with the anti-sematic statements attributed to him. Jewish people, just like Black, Asian, Hispanic, Pasific Islander, Marians, ET, and White People (Did I miss anyone) should be judged on what they do or say, not on what someone who happens to be of the same category as they are says or does.
If he made the statements attributed to him, they are misinformed at best and should be condemned. I don’t follow him or Pete Davison. Kanye seems like a decent guy, claims to be a Christian, and I am hoping his statements were misquoted or just taken out of context as is the norm with the modern journalism. If he is antisemitic, then he needs to GSH, and I have no use for him or anything else he would promote.
Anyway, I agree we need more free speech advocates taking over these outlets. I guess time will tell whether that is the case here, but until proven different, I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt.
