Apparently, there is concern in NY that teens are getting high off of the nitrous oxide that’s used to propel whipped cream out of those metal canister thingies. Now, why it’s specifically whipped cream canisters being targeted, I’m not certain, because I’m pretty sure you can get high the same way with ANY similar container – like those air duster cans, etc. Speaking of which, do y’all remember that episode of Intervention where the chick constantly got high on those?
Thankfully, she recovered.
ANYWAY, because NY is run by lunatics, retailers there have been enforcing a state law that they believe bans the sale of whipped cream canisters to people younger than 21, and so they are checking IDs for people wanting to buy whipped cream.
And you can’t blame the retailers. If they’re “caught” selling whipped cream to someone under 21 they fear they could face fines.
Now then, just consider the fact that the same state of NY actually sponsors and operates LEGAL INJECTION SITES for heroin in NYC. So if you’re an 18 year old looking for a high, you might get carded to buy whipped cream, but you can stroll right into one of those injection sites and get yourself some heroin. It’s also just fine with the state of NY if you wanna have up to three ounces of weed on your person at any given time.
And it gets better. From the sourcelink:
“Additionally, many shoppers are familiar with the experience of arriving home from the store and discovering that their whipped cream canister was out of propellant because someone in the store had already used it to get high.
The Empire State is also plagued by epidemic levels of shoplifting and retail theft causing many to wonder why someone seeking the high from whipped cream canisters would even stop at the cashier to show their ID.“
Exactly. If someone wants to get high off of a whipped cream canister, they don’t even need to check it out of a store. They can just inhale it and off they go.
Meanwhile, it’s racist to require ID to vote.
Our country is borked.

Real reporting on the matter.

And literally GFY with the “real reporting.”
Are you saying that to the following sites:

There’s plenty more where that came from.
The story will be updated now that AN HOUR AGO there have been updates. But this morning when this post was written? EVERYONE WAS REPORTING THE SAME DAMN THING you absolute A$$HAT.
Those racist bastards! How dare they keep delicious fake whipped topping away from blacks, who I am told by so many in the Democrat party (including Fetterman(sp?) in Pennsylvania) that black people are too stupid and incompetent to get an ID. Let me guess, it is those damned ultra-MAGA fascists that run New York that are pushing this blatant racism.
It is blatant discrimination again against the sex obsessed. From experience, using the whipped cream in the bowl containers is just not the same. /sarc.
You are spreading all kinds of misinformation in your attempt to smear “liberals.” The law made it illegal for people under 21 to purchase “chargers” for making your own whipped cream. There has been confusion among retailers about the law. Here’s a much better piece if you prefer to be informed.
Wow but hurt much greg, ben, jack, jill whatever name you’re using this time around.
What exactly in Kurt’s comedic, sarcastic opinion post was misinformation?
Liberals claim asking for ID is racist. So can’t be that.
Maybe it’s his option on whipped cream in the bedroom?
