Schumer-Manchin “Inflation Reduction Act” Gives IRS $80B For Guns, Ammo, 87K More Agents

The Schumer-Manchin Inflation Increasing And Middle Class Auditing Act will give $80 billion taxpayer dollars to the IRS in order to fund the 87,000 new agents they plan to hire. This will almost double the current size of the IRS. And they need 87,000 new agents because, as the Wall Street Journal reports, “the Schumer-Manchin bill has $45.6 billion to audit the middle class.”

Democrat politicians claim this bill will generate more than $200B in revenue. Perhaps what that means is that they expect to have their 87,000 new agents audit tens of millions of (mostly) middle class Americans to squeeze every possible penny from them for the federal government, which they can then spend on pet projects and money laundering schemes like foreign aid to countries tied to corrupt American political families. With only 724 billionaires in the United States and 87,000 new IRS agents, it’s clear they’re not just coming after the super wealthy. They’re coming after middle class American families, which constitute the bulk of American citizens.

Oh, and they’re arming them as well. That’s right: the IRS has recently been buying a whole heck of a lot of guns and ammo, and this bill is expected to fund more guns and ammo. But that’s a bit weird considering only the IRS Criminal Investigation Division is supposed to be allowed to carry guns. And yet, they purchased nearly $700,000 of ammunition earlier this year. According to a Government Accountability Office study reviewing the “Purchases and Inventory Controls of Firearms, Ammunition, and Tactical Equipment,” the IRS already owns fully automatic machine guns. What kind of weapons will be purchased with the $80B they could get from this bill to add to the 4,000 guns and 5 million rounds of ammo they already bought? Kind of weird to fight to disarm American citizens and then fight to arm your IRS tax guys, right?

Why exactly does the government need tens of thousands more tax guys, and why would those tax guys need hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of guns and ammo? I’m sorry, but that just seems incredibly unreasonable and suspicious. There are alarm bells going off all over this whole thing. I can’t help but consider that perhaps a government desperate for power and control over its people might try to find and take advantage of a legal loophole to create its own Gestapo. Like perhaps exponentially expanding and arming a government organization that may not have all the pesky restrictions of the other justice organizations because it’s seen as a harmless paper pushing and number crunching agency.

But don’t worry, I’m sure the Democrat politicians pushing the bill will hold the IRS accountable for every penny of the tens of billions of taxpayer dollars it might get and make sure it doesn’t abuse its power.

And on top of all this, they’re sending a few more billion taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. Just adding insult to injury at this point.
