There are definitely parts of Texas that are more blue than the rest of the state, but as a whole, Texas is a red state. As such, Texas does not want your wokeness shoved down its throat. So when Will Ferrell comes to town with his Trans friend and they start trying to taunt people, it’s not going to go over well.
Dressed as Sherlock Holmes, Ferrell dropped by a steakhouse in Northern Texas to try out their 72-ounce steak challenge. Ferrell was accompanied by his friend Harper Steele on his visit. Steele recently transitioned from a man into a woman.
Everyone was excited to see Ferrell in the restaurant. I love Will Ferrell’s movies, I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but that humor gets me. So, I would be thrilled to see him out and about at a local restaurant. So it’s fair that the place was abuzz…until it wasn’t.
Ferrell raised a glass and asked his friend, Steele, to say a few words. Steele raised his glass as well stating, “I’m from Iowa but I will raise a glass to your great state of Texas.” This got a lot of cheers, but then it got awkward. He continued by stating, “I wish you guys would do more for trans rights in this state.” You could hear the groans. He acknowledged the awkwardness, and stated, “That’s not how we would treat you up in Iowa.” This is when Will Ferrell jumped in by adding, “Cheers to Texas and trans rights, right?”
Texas doesn’t want your wokeness. Keep that BS back in Iowa, Harper. If that is not how you would be treated in Iowa, then go back there. No one asked you to go to Texas. You can’t purposefully taunt people and then be mad when they don’t like it. I just want celebrities to stay in their lane. Will Ferrell is a comedian, not a politician. So go be funny and stop lecturing me on political issues.
