February 21, 2023Trump is out on the road doing his Trump thing, and he addressed the Ukraine/Russian war.
Do y’all think Trump could get Putin and Zelenskyy to agree to a meeting? He definitely sounds confident.
He also sounds inexplicably growly – and I gotta tell you I don’t understand this speech affect he’s taken up over the past decade. I think he was so much more credible and convincing and influential when he sounded like a normal human. Y’all remember those days? Here’s a great example:
I get that voices change as we age, but that’s not what’s happening in the top clip of Trump. That’s just a weird affect he’s picked up along the way.

No. Trump couldn’t do anything.
If not for meddling by western powers this war would have been over with long ago. This is blatantly another proxy war and sadly I’d wager Biden being President is actually a root cause.
If not for meddling by western powers, this war would have never started (probably). If the U.S. didn’t support the overthrow of the Russia friendly Ukrainian president in 2014, then start talking about Ukraine joining NATO, both actions putting a potential enemy on Moscow’s doorstep, Putin wouldn’t have had to go bonkers. Add in a weak U.S. President and, well, here we are.
I’ll add that Biden in particular has ties with Ukraine that are likely exacerbating the situation.
