Y’all – if you missed us discussing all the hullabaloo surrounding Madonna’s appearance at the Grammys, then you might have missed when we shared a particularly disturbing video she posted recently on TikTok.
@madonna Thank you……………🎉🥳🙏🏻💕 #madonnacelebrationtour

So yeah. I think it’s fairly obvious to anyone with functioning eyeballs that Madonna has seriously f*cked up her face. I’m assuming it’s a combo of surgeries and fillers and Botox, but the “how” is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that she objectively has ruined her face and now resembles something not particularly human.
You might think that’s mean. But y’all – clearly her friends and family aren’t telling her that she’s destroying the natural beauty she had, so now the world is telling her. Social media EXPLODED with commentary about her face after the Grammys.
Incidentally, it’s not just her face. Let’s not forget that she’s also injected her backside with whatever people use to enhance their backsides these days. You can see that in this video.
Now, I get it. Her adoring, devoted fan base will defend anything she does to the end, claiming she’s the QUEEEEN and has always been innovative and risk-takey, blah blah blah. Whatever. You can think that and ALSO SEE, because you have functioning eyeballs, that she looks like an alien now.
Anyway, Madonna has finally released a statement responding to the internet explosion over her appearance.
She said:
“It was an honor for me to Introduce Kim Petras and Sam Smith at the Grammys. I wanted to give the last award which was Album of the Year, but I thought it was more important that I present the first trans- woman performing at the Grammys — a history-making moment!! And on top of that she won a Grammy!!
“Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech, which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim, many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that would distort anyone’s face!!
“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in.
A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous.
“I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start. I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career, but I understand that this is all a test, and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come.
“In the words of Beyonce, ‘You won’t break my soul.’
“I look forward to many more years of subversive behavior — pushing boundaries, standing up to the patriarchy and most of all enjoying my life.
“Bow down bitches!”
So first of all, no. I’m not bowing down.
But let’s unpack and untangle the rest of that, shall we? This part was my favorite: “many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that would distort anyone’s face!
Um…Madonna. Girl, please. This has nothing to do with a long lens camera or distortion. The camera did not distort your face. YOU DID THAT. YOU distorted your face. It’s evident in every video YOU put out there, even after you apply all the filters.
And this has nothing to do with ageism and misogyny. Men that screw up their faces to this degree are ALSO criticized. Anyone who goes to this level of extreme to attempt to defy the natural aging process is gonna be noticed. Furthermore, does it occur to Madonna that she is CONTRIBUTING to the very issue she’s talking about – the world’s “refusal to celebrate women past the age of 45?” Perhaps Madonna, as a pop icon and superstar, could have helped the world celebrate women past the age of 45 by not becoming an absolute FREAKSHOW. Madonna could have set an example of what it means to age naturally and still completely rock out. Instead, she succumbed to the system she’s complaining about. She’s no trailblazer – she’s a conformist now. She’s conforming to the new plastic-surgified, filled up face that is RAMPANT in Hollywood and that filters down to every day people who look up to those weirdos.
HOW in the world does she consider this standing up to the patriarchy? She’s absolutely feeding the beast. The fact that she’s delusional enough to think that her alien face should be setting an example for women “so that all the women behind her can have an easier time in the years to come” is just so utterly un-self-aware. She’s making it MORE difficult for women. She’s caving to the societal pressure to look like a perpetual 20-something instead of doing what the OG Madonna would have done – which is to bravely just BE HER ACTUAL SELF.
Gross.

I’m sorry–she looks like something from a Criminal Minds episode. Why do people do that to themselves?
“Everyone is three cuts to clown face.” – Jeffy Fisher
People are making fun of Madonna because she is on about cut 27.
>A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45
>I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career
Did she begin her career at 45? Her first album release in 1983, 40 years ago, so that would make her at least 85? Is she lying about her age now?
That was Madonna? What a relief. I thought Johnny Depp was outing himself as a woman.
She should sue whoever has done these atrocities to her face. She looks like a caricature done by a horror artist on acid. It is not a flattering look, and if she has any real friends left, they should sit her down and quietly tell her. She can do whatever she wants to herself, but please do not try and tell us we are not seeing the disaster, but instead we are somehow haters or some such.
It is really sad. She should stop trying to out do Michael Jackson in his quest to become a very ugly white woman.
