Biden Said “Key Reason” He Ran For POTUS Was To Fight Inflation, Which Was 1.4% When He Took Office And Is Now 8.2%

In a speech on “bipartisan infrastructure law investments” given in LA, President Joe Biden made a rather strange remark. After speaking for a few minutes that were riddled with mistakes like saying the wrong name and floundering to remember another name, he said,

“Before I begin, let me say a few words quickly about today’s report on inflation.  Americans are squeezed by the cost of living.  It’s been true for years, and folks don’t need a report to tell them they’re being squeezed.

Fighting this battle every day is a key reason why I ran for President of the United States.”

Weird for the fight against inflation to be a “key reason” he ran for the office of President of the United States when inflation wasn’t really an issue until he destroyed our economy as President of the United States. If fighting inflation was a key reason he ran, then he’s doing the worst possible job. Inflation was at 1.4% when Biden took office. Today it’s at 8.2%. That’s ridiculous. The real GDP was growing at 6.3% when he took office, and now we’re seeing consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. And our national debt topped $31 trillion for the first time in history, thanks to the Biden Administration’s reckless spending. He’s not fighting inflation. He’s tossing trillions of dollars on to the economic dumpster fire he started and watching it burn hotter and bigger.
