You just can’t make this stuff up.
According to the sourcelink, NYC’s utterly useless mayor Eric Adams is demanding that taxpayers across the country pay for the “wave of asylum seekers” that is flooding his city. Isn’t that rich? He and DC’s mayor Muriel Bowser have been complaining about buses from TX and AZ dropping illegal aliens off right into their cities, saying that their social safety nets are being strained.
GEE. YA THINK? Do you suppose that when a border is widea$$ open with no enforcement from the federal government and millions of invaders just moseying on into the country that it might, oh, I don’t know, negatively impact the places the invaders end up? What do these two moronic mayors think that the border states are dealing with, exactly?
Leave it to leftists to be furious ONLY WHEN they’re directly impacted and put the blame on the states also struggling instead of where it belongs, which is squarely on the shoulders of our idiotic incompetent fool of a president.
NYC is in a real pickle due to their “right to shelter” mandate, which basically guarantees that if you’re a homeless asylum seeker and you show up in NYC, you get a bed. Somewhere. At the city’s expense.
Now, both TX and AZ’s governors are denying that they’re sending ANYONE to NYC – but both admit to busing these illegals to Washington, which they ABSOLUTELY SHOULD KEEP ON DOING. Maybe they can stay with AOC.
The problems in NYC specifically might be more complicated than just having more illegals to contend with. From the source:
To be sure, the issue may not be as simple as just asylum seekers filling the shelters, though. Local service providers say there are definitely more migrants in shelters, but the shelter bottlenecks may also be attributable in part to staffing issues and higher local demand in the face of rising evictions.
The Legal Aid Society slammed Adams for blaming the shelter crisis on asylum seekers, saying the real problems were bureaucracy and a lack of affordable housing.
You don’t say. There’s bureaucracy in NYC and a lack of affordable housing? WHYEVER WOULD THAT BE THO.
But leave it to GOP Rep Lee Zeldin, who knows EXACTLY what’s up.
“Their weak border policy is then made worse by what amounts to a travel agency flying the illegal immigrants to destinations all across the country, including New York,” he said. “The obvious consequence is that New Yorkers are now stuck dealing with the consequences. The solution is that the surge of illegal entry across our southern border needs to be shut down, the Remain in Mexico policy must be enforced.”
Now – imagine if Biden DOES agree to send federal money to help NYC and DC out with their migrant problem. That will mean that you and me and every other taxpayer will be helping out those two cities AT THE EXPENSE of actually doing anything meaningful to stop the flow of illegals into the country. WTF is this administration’s problem?

Oh my goodness! NYC and DC are getting a small taste of what border states and cities have been force to endure because of Biden’s open border. Cry me an Effing river.
>WTF is this administration’s problem?
Nothing, they are doing exactly what they have been saying they want for years, or in some cases decades. The problem is that so many (including Republicans) don’t listen and/or believe them or even agree with them.
This is fairly typical though isn’t it? They WANT illegal immigration, just NIMBY. This is a you reap what you sow (karma) scenario.
BTW…still can’t get an answer to the question: How come EVERY COUNTRY ON EARTH has immigration laws that people must abide by but in the US, it’s not required?
