First, she began by saying that increased crime was due to people stealing bread.

AOC notes that the police budget cuts have not yet kicked in, and in saying so, insinuates the police are ineffective. Police have not been supported by city leadership and are being told to stand down. You think that has an impact on the crime rate?
She also blames the uptick on record unemployment and economic desperation that puts people in a position of deciding to shoplift bread or going hungry. AOC also points to people not having received their stimulus checks yet as another reason. Like most Democrats, AOC blames everyone and everything except the criminal for crime.
Also, what about in the increase in shootings and violent crime? Even the New York Times admits the increase. Who can forget this horrific video of a man shooting this poor 6-year-old girl’s father right in front of her?

Hmmmm. I don’t know what suburbs she has been too, but I have always lived in the burbs and have always had police.
Suburbs do not look like urban areas when it comes to crime. Not even close.
I can’t say I disagree with her on the quality of the schools in suburbs versus big cities. But Democrats run the big cities so….that’s on them.
