Unless you’ve been living under a rock (no offense meant if you have been, I wish I could unplug once in a while!) you’ve seen this heartbreaking video of a man trying to save a bunny from the California wildfires:
This guy has faced all kinds of criticism from all kinds of people, but you know what? I think he’s awesome. He did what he thought was right, and did what he could to save a creature’s life. I love that. I love this man’s heart. We need more people with good hearts right now.
Anyway… I HAVE GREAT NEWS, ANIMAL LOVERS!

DA BUNNY’S GONNA BE JUUUUST FINE!
HA! Who said all news is bad news?
The burned bunny rescued from one of California’s wildfires — seen in a viral video — is recovering well and could be released back into the wild soon. Take that, 2017 bad news!
The female cottontail suffered burns to both her ears and feet and was taken to the California Wildlife Center in Malibu after hopping into the flames of the Thomas fire … which has scorched about 230,000 acres in Southern California.
She was rescued by 21-year-old Caleb Wadman, the dude seen wearing a red sweatshirt in that video, and although the move was super risky, some say the furball wouldn’t have survived if he hadn’t intervened.
PS in a super odd twist, some rando who looks NOTHING like the guy in the video tried to claim HE was the one who saved the bunny. It was then confirmed by the animal rescue that took the bunny in that Caleb was our BUNNY WABBIT HERO.
Dude… what? Not cool. Don’t pretend to be the bunny hero, ok ?
Anyway….. HOP HOP HOOOOORAYYYYYYYYY!!!! (get it. Because it’s a bunny and I’m queen of dad jokes.)
